Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Effective July 5, 2026
Welcome. These Terms are the agreement between you and The Compatibility Code ("we," "us") for the dating service at this app (the "Service"). Please read them; they are written to be understood, not to hide things. By creating an account, or by continuing to use the Service, you agree to them.
1. Who can join
- You must be 18 or older. You confirm this when you sign up, and you enter your birth date during onboarding. Your birth date cannot be changed once saved; it protects the age rule and the honesty of your compatibility results. Misrepresenting your age ends your account.
- You may hold one account, for yourself, under your real identity.
- The Service is currently offered to members in the United States. We do not offer the Service in certain countries, including those under US sanctions.
- You may not join if we previously banned you for harming members or the Service.
2. Your account
- Keep your sign-in method secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from your Profile. Deletion erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We may contact you by email about your account, safety, and the Service.
3. The questionnaires and your results
- Our compatibility engine blends your element test, astrology, numerology, and the optional depth layers you choose to complete.
- Each questionnaire allows the first pass plus one retake. Only a finished pass counts. Take your time; the intros tell you how long each one takes.
- Your results and depth answers are for insight, reflection, and connection. They are not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and they do not guarantee compatibility, matches, dates, or relationships.
4. How you treat other members
Be real, be kind, be lawful. You agree not to:
- ask members for money, financial details, gift cards, crypto, or investments, or run any scam or scheme;
- harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse anyone, on or off the app;
- impersonate anyone, use someone else's photos, or misrepresent who you are;
- share another member's private information or images without their consent;
- post or send sexual content involving minors in any form (reported to authorities), or use the Service for commercial sexual activity, advertising, or solicitation;
- use bots, scrapers, or automation, or probe or overload the Service;
- use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written agreement.
5. Safety, honestly stated
- We do not conduct criminal background screening on members. Treat everyone as someone you have not verified. Our Safety Center has our honest advice: meet in public, keep money out of it, trust your gut.
- We use automated safety systems, with human review, to help detect fraud, scams, and abuse, including scanning of messages as described in the Privacy Policy. No system is perfect; these tools help, they do not guarantee.
- If a member is banned for fraud, we may notify members who were in contact with them. We would rather protect you than protect a scammer's privacy.
- We may remove content, hide profiles, restrict features, freeze accounts, or ban members to protect the community. Permanent decisions are made by a person, not only a machine. If you believe we got something wrong, write to us from the Safety Center; a real person reads every message.
6. Intimate images shared without consent
We do not tolerate intimate or sexual images of a person shared without their consent, including AI-generated ones. If this happens to you, report it from the app or through the Safety Center: identify the image and confirm it depicts you (or someone you are authorized to act for) and that it was shared without consent. We remove validly reported images within 48 hours and make reasonable efforts to remove copies. This process is free.
7. Your content and our license
- Your photos, bio, answers, and messages remain yours.
- You grant us the license needed to operate the Service: to host, process, and display your content to the members it is meant for (for example, your card to potential matches, your messages to their recipients). This license ends when the content or your account is deleted, except as described in the Privacy Policy (for example, a redacted conversation kept readable for the other person).
- You promise your content is yours to share and does not violate anyone's rights.
8. Memberships and billing
- The core experience, including every questionnaire, is free. Paid tiers add extra powers; they never unlock the questionnaires themselves, because your Compatibility Code should never sit behind a paywall.
- When paid memberships launch, every price will be shown with the full billed amount before you pay, renewals and any free trial will be spelled out on the purchase screen with your separate consent, you will receive a confirmation email with the terms, and cancellation will be online, one tap, as easy as signing up. No coins, no hidden charges, no paid verification, no dynamic pricing.
- You may cancel a new paid membership within 3 business days of purchase for a full refund (within 10 days). This honors California and Colorado law, and we extend it to everyone.
- Prices for future terms can change only with advance notice to you; Founding Member pricing stays yours for as long as you stay subscribed, as promised where you purchased.
9. Ending the relationship
- You can stop using the Service or delete your account whenever you want.
- We can suspend or end accounts that break these Terms, put members at risk, or abuse the Service. Where the law requires, we will tell you why; for safety enforcement we may act first and review with you after, through the Safety Center.
10. Honest limits of our promises
- The Service is provided "as is." We work hard on safety and quality, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, error-free matching, or the behavior of other members, online or offline.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.
- You agree to use common sense and the Safety Center's guidance when meeting people. Your interactions with members are your own.
11. Disputes and governing law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Before any formal dispute, contact us first through the Safety Center or at the.compatibilitycode@gmail.com; most issues resolve with a conversation.
- Nothing here limits rights that your local law gives you and does not allow you to waive.
12. Changes to these Terms
If we change these Terms in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect, with the new version and date. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the update. We keep prior versions available on request.
